About Uncork SA

Uncork SA was birthed in 2017 as nothing more than a means of reminding myself of fine wines and spirits which impressed me.

What started as a personal memory bank quickly snowballed and became a passion-project of mine.

Craftsmanship is central to all content which features on Uncork SA. Highlighting and promoting the amazing wine and spirits industry, and some of the characters behind the "liquid art".

Over time this evolved to include Luxury accommodation, fine dining, glassware and accessories which naturally fit.

BEHIND UNCORK SA

Whilst Uncork SA began as an anonymous page back in 2017, it became a little tricky to build relationships, and meet with the amazing craftsman/women behind these products without removing the cloak of anonymity.

So the veil was lifted.

I am Fred Hart - a wine and drinks enthusiast, with a passion for the craftsmanship displayed in producing this liquid art.

First and foremost I am a husband and father - Life is really all about my family - I married the most remarkable women, and together we have 3 wonderful children, and live in the very special town of Somerset West in the Western Cape, South Africa

Having spent 15 years in the drinks industry in Southern Africa, I now work for the worlds leading Customer Data Science business, helping retailers and FMCG businesses put Customers First
